The Sturgeon River Falls is located in southern Houghton County and is a paradise for adventure seekers. Visitors will find a small parking area and trailhead located off of Forest Road 2270 (just North of the town of Sidnaw). Eagle River Falls Lake Superior Circle Tour

Eagle River Falls are one of the many roadside waterfalls you'll encounter while driving around. These are rather impressive as they empty into a gorge which flows directly into Lake Superior. There is also a nice stone beach at the mouth of the Eagle River where the gorge empties out. There are a couple large basins in the rock itself, though.

Eagle River Falls is in Eagle River, on MI-26. This is a roadside falls. There is a small park and a pedestrian bridge from where you can get a nice view of the falls. There is an old dam at the top of the falls. The falls used to power the Lake Superior Safety Fuse Factory. In the spring the falls is much wider and sometimes flows over the dam.

The largest drops include the lowermost Hungarian Falls and Eagle River Falls, both at 60 feet. Easy access: Haven Falls Park and Jacob's Falls are the definitions of roadside attractions. Each can easily be viewed from your car as you drive by them (although we definitely suggest you step outside your vehicle to enjoy the view).

Aug 2019. While Jacob's Falls at 40 feet (12.2m) high is not particularly dramatic, it is a pretty cascade with easy access being located right along scenic M-26. When travelling north on M-26, it is located on the righthand side of the road at M-26's final bend before reaching the Lake Superior shoreline and marked with a small brown wood.
